We sadly lost a wonderful, vibrant and passionately committed TimeBank leader, Debra Frazier, in early October, 2021.
At her memorial service, members of the DC TimeBank community joined with the many others who over decades have experienced the powerful role that Debra has played in fighting for the rights of public housing residents. She was utterly fearless, a fighter against injustice, a person who operated from a base of love and caring. She was never, ever mean-spirited.
Each person who stood up to testify to Debra's amazing spirit -- her joy of life, her laughter -- spoke of how she made them feel that she had a truly special relationship with each.
Which was true: She did.
It's hard to believe that she is no longer here with us, with her joyful, determined spirit.
Debra, you are truly, greatly missed.
We extend our condolences to Debra's family, friends and all who joined with her and leaned on her leadership in the fight for social justice.
